With a robust background in inpatient and outpatient care, she has served as a court-appointed special advocate for children, probation officer, school therapist, and co-case manager for refugees at the African Center. Currently, she is a licensed clinical social worker with a private practice focused on helping families by conducting immigration evaluations. Deeply committed to helping youth transition from homelessness to independence, she balances her professional life with being a devoted wife and mother to three children.

Her experience and deep appreciation for nonprofits making change by improving the quality of life continues to motivate her to seek more growth and progress professionally and personally.

As a child, I was once placed in foster care; facing many challenges living in poverty. I overcame obstacles, with the help of my high school teachers and counselors. Ultimately, they became my mentors while I transitioned into adulthood. I needed guidance and support to assist me each step of the way which is why I am passionate about R.I.S.E Homes.
